So the food was decent but the wait was unbelievable. From when we put in our order to the time we got food was about 30 minutes, but that was ok only until the first dish arrived. They broke up our 6 dish order poorly. The first dish arrived and the last arrived upwards of another 30 min later, with the other orders sprinkled in between. Needless to say, none of us really are together. Besides all that, the food was tasty. There are vegan options here too.
A very good restaurant, we often visit friends with it. The staff is very nice and polite.
Great service. Food is good, not exceptional, and prices are a bit high for what you get. Appreciate that they are open on New Year's Eve.
Fun decor. They had a giant candelabra fashioned intoba kind of Christmas tree, decorated with sort of ornaments (kikoman was my favorite).Strong beer menu. Many options, though I don't drink beer, even I considered getting something as it's clearly part of what makes them different from your average sushi place. Informative staff. Was with someone with severe food allergies, and the server literally sat with us for 5 minutes working out what the party member could eat. She went with a sushi roll made from cucumber (instead of seaweed and rice!) - very clever. Enjoyed the spicy pickled vegetables appetizer (I'd describe this as kimchi over spicy pickled veggies), and the sashimi salad.
Great atmosphere, diverse menu, happy hour drinks, and service
Crunchy roll, dumplings, and teriyaki chicken bowl were tasty. The bowl is big enough for two. Beer on tap and happy hour as well.
My wife and I absolutely love Sushi Exchange. Ironically, I'm allergic to fish and my wife rarely eats meat. We generally end up with vegetable rolls, chicken yakisoba (noodle bowl), or chicken teriyaki (rice bowl). One minor issue is that they don't time order delivery very well. It's pretty common to have an appetizer arrive with the entree, which pretty much defeats the point, or to have one person's order arrive 5 or 10 minutes after everyone else's.On the upside, their food is tasty, they have an awesome selection of local craft beers, and a generous happy hour from 3 to 6.
More than just sushi!Went there and loved the food and their little patio. The food is SO 😋tasty. Too bad they don't have a north county location. Recommend it!
